Luxury Duck Hunting Lodge in Argentina

In addition to the finest duck hunting in Argentina, River Plate also offers unbeatable mixed-bag options on the northern border of the Buenos Aires and La Pampa provinces. With its expansive agriculture, sprawling pastures and wild grasslands, this region is home to millions of eared dove, two different species of perdiz as well as picazuru and spot-winged pigeons. The area’s lagoons, watering holes, flooded fields and natural ponds serve as the wintering habitat for 12 different duck species. Our La Pampa mixed-bag program combines the most revered Argentina duck hunting with the thrill of ultra high-volume dove shooting, decoyed pigeon shooting and perdiz hunting behind well-mannered pointers…all of this from one amazing hunting lodge.

What to Expect in the Field
For those that think “variety is the spice of life,” this Argentina duck hunt and mixed-bag program is as good as it gets. Our La Pampa program offers the ultimate mix of Argentina game birds and the most flexibility based on the specific wishes of your hunting group. The trip typically begins with an afternoon duck hunt en route to the La Pampa lodge after being picked up from Buenos Aires. The next morning is also usually reserved for ducks followed by an afternoon of high-volume dove, decoyed pigeons or perdiz behind dogs. Your professional guides will give you up-to-the-minute reports on how the various birds are flying day by day…you’ll be able to base your hunting schedule on the preferences of your hunting party and the latest scouting reports. With a dozen different duck species, two different types of perdiz, two different types of pigeons and of course ultra high-volume dove shooting, this hunt has it all. As with all of our Argentina duck hunting and mixed-bag programs, hunters can expect terrific bird boys, the most professional guides, well-kept vehicles and exceptional shooting.

Accommodations
For these Argentina duck hunting and mixed-bag programs, hunters are accommodated at our fully renovated and remodeled La Pampa Lodge. There are six large bedrooms and five bathrooms; groups are normally limited to six to eight hunters at a time to ensure top quality service and exceptional hunting for all. Guests are treated to incredible regional cuisine, fine wines and gracious Argentine hospitality. Multiple lounges provide the perfect setting for winding down after a long day’s hunt. Wi-Fi Internet is available to keep in touch with loved ones and business obligations. IMPORTATANT NOTE – Depending on hunting conditions, guests are sometimes accommodated part of the time at our La Escondida Lodge, which is en route to our La Pampa Lodge. This assures that River Plate hunters will be closest to the best duck hunting based on up-to-the-minute scouting reports.

Location
Our La Pampa Lodge is located just across from the Buenos Aires/La Pampa provincial border, very close to the small towns of General Pico and Trebolares.
